Only an eye doctor can diagnose and treat a vision problem, but vision screenings help find children and adults who need a full eye exam. Preserve Vision Florida’s vision screenings are an accurate, cost-effective way to find vision problems and refer people with signs of problems to eye doctors for professional care.
Our screening procedures are recommended by many of the nation’s leading children’s eye care professionals and researchers.
Vision Screenings at County Health Clinics

“See The Difference” Vision Screening Program
This effort provides free vision screenings to 720 underserved/uninsured children and adults utilizing health services at Lakeland’s clinic of the Polk County Health Department over a 12-month period. For those who fail the vision screen, Preserve Vision Florida Staff will assist anyone needing financial assistance to obtain a free eye exam, glasses or support for an eye disease.
Preserve Vision Florida thanks Impact Lakeland, an initiative of the Community Foundation of Greater Lakeland, for helping to improve vision throughout the greater Lakeland area.
Impact Lakeland helps donors make well-informed giving decisions. It includes important information on the organization and the project in which they seek funding.
